This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead the strategy, performance, and advancement of event marketing across national prenatal conferences, regional, and local prenatal events, as well as strategic experiential activations.
• Establish the long-term vision, investment strategy, portfolio management, pipeline generation, organizational design, and operational excellence for the event marketing function.
• Create annual event marketing strategies and investment plans based on data-driven insights.
• Define audience segmentation, event portfolio strategy, channel mix, and integrated marketing approaches.
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to align with company and go-to-market priorities.
• Oversee event marketing contributions towards pipeline generation, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and commercial success.
• Set KPIs and performance frameworks to measure pipeline, conversion rates, attendance quality, ROI, and business impact.
• Evaluate event portfolio performance to optimize resource allocation and return on investment.
• Present business reviews and recommendations at the executive level.
• Lead and nurture the support for prenatal events, including team members, contractors, agencies, and external partners.
• Develop delegation models, ownership structures, standardized operating procedures, and scalable systems.
• Create communication cadences, planning frameworks, governance processes, and operating models.
• Identify organizational risks, address cross-functional challenges, and communicate mitigation strategies.
• Enhance operational processes, technology, vendor partnerships, and resource planning.
• Deliver unique event experiences that reinforce the brand, foster customer relationships, and align with commercial objectives.
• Guide flagship events while empowering the team to manage daily planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Brand and Design leaders to ensure consistent customer experiences.
• Monitor industry trends, event technologies, and engagement strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in event marketing or field marketing within the healthcare sector.
• Proven experience managing substantial event marketing budgets and making portfolio investment decisions.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen, including experience with KPIs, ROI frameworks, and executive reporting.
• Experience in managing national conferences, regional events, experiential activations, and multi-channel event campaigns.
• Exceptional strategic thinking coupled with outstanding operational and execution rigor.
• Track record of successfully partnering with Sales leadership to achieve measurable pipeline growth and commercial results.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional decision-making.
• Strong executive presence and effective communication skills.
• Capability to establish scalable operational systems, enhance cross-functional alignment, and lead in ambiguous situations.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments while fostering clarity, accountability, and momentum.
• Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, medtech, or life sciences is highly desirable.
• Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with robust relationship-building and cross-functional influence skills.
