This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee a portfolio consisting of 75 to 125 donors, including those capable of contributing over $1,000,000.
• Enhance donor involvement through activation efforts, which include 125 visits and 275 engagements annually.
• Keep prospect and donor information current in TNC’s CRM, ensuring timely updates.
• Achieve an annual fundraising target of $1,000,000 or greater.
• Operate independently and act on behalf of the supervisor when necessary, using sound judgment to identify and address challenges.
• Recognize that decisions made may have implications across programs and could financially or legally bind the organization.
• Show discretion and adhere to best practices when managing confidential information.
• Ensure adherence to TNC policies and procedures as well as external requirements (philanthropic sector/legal/IRS).
• Fulfill financial responsibilities by operating within a budget and achieving fundraising goals.
• Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders while upholding TNC's values at all times.
• Oversee assigned projects, coordinating peer efforts and adhering to deadlines.
• Engage in or manage complex or sensitive negotiations when necessary.
• Supervise support or administrative personnel if needed.
• Clearly communicate TNC’s mission to diverse groups who play a vital role in helping TNC achieve its objectives.
• Be prepared to travel frequently and at short notice, including to remote locations with donors, and work long and flexible hours as required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience in establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with fundraising stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in soliciting and securing gifts of $25,000 or more.
• Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Background, coursework, or training in fundraising principles and practices is preferred.
