📋 Description

• Oversees and evaluates admissions processes and performance metrics (e.g., student interactions, interviews, processing of admissions applications, completion of student retention initiatives, and outreach efforts) to ensure the admissions team and department meet or exceed established goals while complying with BU admissions performance standards.

• An empathetic and compassionate leader who sets clear expectations, provides timely and constructive coaching/training, and collaborates with each team member to formulate a strategy for achieving or surpassing key performance indicators.

• Maintains adequate staffing levels by fostering high morale, trust, and competency among staff, thereby reducing turnover.

• Effectively prioritizes and manages time, excelling in goal attainment by empowering others.

• Delegates responsibilities effectively and ensures employees understand their expectations and have clear accountability.

• Fosters and contributes to strong, positive relationships within the team, department, and across departments, promoting student-centered outcomes throughout all areas.

• Welcomes innovation and change in a dynamic environment, adjusting priorities as necessary.

• Exemplifies and advocates for high ethical standards while adhering to and reinforcing all regulatory and compliance standards related to admissions and higher education, following all policies and guidelines set by BU, the Department of Education, accreditation bodies, and regulatory agencies.

• Conducts annual performance evaluations and addresses disciplinary issues with respect, professionalism, and sensitivity.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or a comparable combination of education and experience, including active and consistent pursuit of a BA/BS degree within 2 years.

• 2-4 years of experience in a consultative service industry as an individual contributor.

• Preferred 3-5 years of direct supervision, coaching, development, and evaluation of teams in a consultative service environment.

• Highly preferred 3-5 years of admissions experience, including at least 3 years in a higher education/admissions management position.

• Demonstrated history of consistently achieving results as both an individual contributor and a leader.

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

• Established track record of building and maintaining trusting relationships.

• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), along with solid presentation and organizational abilities.

• Demonstrates proficiency in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Exemplifies confidence and humility.

• Values higher education and BU’s mission to unlock the innate potential in individuals.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

• Proficient in working in a virtual setting using multiple software applications concurrently, including MS Office, contact management databases, Salesforce, Gmail, Zoom, and more.

• Capability to sit for six to eight hours.

• Flexibility to work at least 40 hours per week on a varied schedule.
