Associate Director – Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Maintain and effectively convey in-depth scientific knowledge within the designated therapeutic area.

• Continuously engage in learning to uphold technical proficiency.

• Foster two-way dialogues with scientific experts that are mutually beneficial.

• Provide comprehensive information on disease states and products.

• Link scientific authorities with Lilly's resources and internal business collaborators.

• Recognize potential opportunities for collaborative research or external partnerships.

• Integrate complex data and convey clinical insights along with unresolved customer inquiries to Lilly's medical and cross-functional teams.

• Employ innovative problem-solving techniques and internal resources to implement solutions.

• Make independent, principle-based decisions or appropriately escalate issues.

• Nurture internal networks and collaborate across various functions.

• Contribute to medical planning and strategy within the affiliate.

• Analyze, plan, prioritize, implement, and assess a strategic territory plan.

• Carry out the role in compliance with governing requirements, procedures, and laws.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically relevant field) is required.

• 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience is preferred.

• A master's or bachelor's degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) may be considered if there are 5 or more years of clinical, research, or industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area.

• A valid US driver's license and an acceptable driving record are necessary.

• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required.

• Lilly will not offer support for or sponsor work authorization or visas.

• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work up to 4 to 6 weekends annually.

• Must reside in close proximity to a transportation hub (airport/train station).

• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity regarding the field of science/medicine.

• Learning agility to understand and communicate intricate scientific content clearly and succinctly.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in the field while managing multiple priorities and projects.

• Advanced presentation and computer skills, with proficiency in literature identification.

• Strong strategic and critical thinking abilities.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in using field-based electronic or other communication tools.

• Resilience in navigating complex challenges.
