This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Offer strategic insights for the creation of clinically relevant educational materials and the effective utilization of clinical data.
• Independently produce scientific content, along with analysis and interpretation of clinical data.
• Perform literature searches while monitoring and analyzing the competitive landscape.
• Cultivate client relationships and actively participate in client meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop symposia presentations, scientific narratives, messaging platforms, and engagement initiatives for healthcare professionals.
• Work alongside copy, art, and digital teams on interactive programs that leverage scientific storytelling and data visualization.
• Convey Intouch’s perspective and recommendations to clients.
• Provide education to team members regarding disease states, clinical trials, treatments, and competitive analysis.
• Assist with client medical and regulatory approval submissions, incorporating any feedback received.
• Manage the department and supervise departmental staff.
• Interview, select, and oversee staff; communicate company policies and procedures effectively.
• Establish job objectives, work methods, and performance standards; evaluate employee performance regularly.
• Approve and communicate personnel actions including salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Show a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• An advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in a medical sciences-related field is required.
• Preferably, two or more years of agency experience in medical education, medical communications, and/or healthcare professional marketing.
• A minimum of two years of medical writing experience is required.
• Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to compellingly narrate scientific stories.
• Proficiency in extracting pertinent information from clinical sources and crafting medically accurate copy.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational capabilities.
• Confidence in client-facing situations.
• Experience managing complex projects that involve both internal and external teams, including key opinion leaders.
• Familiarity with FDA marketing regulations, AMA editorial style, and digital practices.
• Experience in oncology is preferred.
