
Associate Director, Liver Franchise Marketing – Regional Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of the PBC Marketing strategic plan, concentrating on regional engagement initiatives, insight collection, and event management.
• Execute the Liver Franchise strategic priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination among Marketing & Sales teams and across functions.
• Lead the development and execution of regional priority opportunities and activations.
• Enhance Gilead’s narrative on Liver leadership and promote significant partnership activities.
• Create and implement insight plans for key stakeholders, including speaker bureaus and regional advisory boards when applicable.
• Coordinate Gilead’s participation in major Liver events and sponsorships, ensuring organizational involvement and alignment with commercial strategic goals.
• Oversee and guide agency partners to execute the annual tactical plan within the designated budget.
• Prepare and present materials to both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including weekends and overnight stays.
• Report directly to the Senior Director, US Liver Franchise Opinion Leader Programming.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales, and commercial policies and practices.
• Prior experience in marketing and/or pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree in business or public health is desirable.
• Previous experience with Liver-related matters and established relationships is favored.
• A strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and writing abilities.
• Capability to distill complex topics into simpler concepts.
• Flexibility to adjust communication style and content based on the audience.
• Proven excellence in project management and handling multiple projects/priorities.
• Ability to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including weekends and overnight trips.
