• Oversee, mentor, and assist the FRM team to provide compliant and effective access and reimbursement services.
• Conduct field visits to evaluate performance, ensure the use of AbbVie-approved tools, and offer focused coaching aligned with organizational strategic goals.
• Collaborate with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and the Access & Reimbursement Hub to ensure consistent and compliant program implementation.
• Incorporate patient access initiatives into local and regional strategies while identifying and addressing training needs.
• Monitor changes in healthcare policies and relay pertinent insights to the FRM team.
• Utilize analytics tools to track call activity and operational capacity.
• Establish quality control measures to guarantee adherence to AbbVie standards and procedures.
• Promote professional growth for direct reports by providing clear career progression and performance management.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access in neuroscience, including roles such as Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, Field Reimbursement Manager, or similar positions.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading field teams, with proven success in team coaching, management, and personnel development.
• Comprehensive understanding of technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements related to coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medications.
• Proven knowledge of the rules, regulations, and risks associated with providing reimbursement support services, along with strategies to monitor and mitigate those risks.
• Demonstrated expertise in coverage, coding, payment, and distribution processes for specialty products, including the relevant governing rules and regulations.
• In-depth understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Strong grasp of drug acquisition and dispensing within the Neuroscience sector (including the roles of Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, and concepts like white-bagging).
• A history of impactful leadership contributions.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material handling equipment.
• A valid driver’s license, with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
