This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Oversees and nurtures a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers who inform healthcare providers (HCPs) about AbbVie’s Immunology Patient Support Programs, focusing on patient access and reimbursement inquiries pertaining to AbbVie’s Immunology portfolio.
• Guides, mentors, and supports the FRM team to ensure the delivery of compliant and effective access and reimbursement services.
• Engages in field ride-alongs to evaluate performance, confirms the utilization of AbbVie-approved tools, and offers targeted coaching aligned with organizational strategic goals.
• Collaborates with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and the Access & Reimbursement Hub to ensure consistent and compliant execution of programs.
• Incorporates patient access programs into local and regional strategies; identifies and addresses training needs.
• Monitors changes in healthcare policy and shares pertinent insights with the FRM team.
• Analyzes call activity and operational capacity using analytics tools.
• Establishes quality control measures to guarantee adherence to AbbVie standards and procedures.
• Promotes professional development for direct reports, ensuring clear career advancement and performance management.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access in neuroscience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, Field Reimbursement Manager, or an equivalent position.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading field teams, with proven success in team coaching, management, and personnel development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medications.
• Proven understanding of the regulations, rules, and risks associated with providing reimbursement support services and the ability to monitor and mitigate those risks.
• Extensive technical knowledge of coverage, coding, payment, and distribution of specialty products, along with the regulations governing reimbursement support provision.
• In-depth understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and their associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Strong grasp of drug acquisition and dispensing within the Neuroscience sector (including the roles of Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors, and white-bagging, etc.).
• Proven track record of strong contributions in leadership.
• Valid driver’s license: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving requirements.
