This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of regional staff, consisting of two direct reports.
• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture that encourages professional growth and accountability.
• Create robust team structures, workflows, and performance expectations to guarantee the effective achievement of regional objectives.
• Formulate and guide the execution of OWA’s strategy across Europe, ensuring alignment with global priorities and organizational objectives.
• Convert coalition-wide objectives into clear regional plans, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and ensuring successful execution across the region and its subregions.
• Direct decision-making regarding regional campaign priorities, member support, and resource distribution.
• Oversee grant decisions within OWA Europe, ensuring that funds are allocated to the most impactful areas.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of OWA Europe’s regional strategies and initiatives.
• Identify new opportunities, risks, and trends within the European corporate campaigning and advocacy landscapes.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with member organizations, providing guidance on campaign strategy and supporting coordination across various countries and regions.
• Promote alignment and collaboration among member groups, addressing challenges and facilitating effective coordination as necessary.
• Supervise regional program delivery, ensuring effective coordination of campaigns, member support, and coalition initiatives.
• Aid in the development and implementation of systems, processes, and tools to enhance coordination, communication, and effectiveness across the region.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure regional work aligns with broader organizational strategies.
• Contribute to organizational reporting by providing updates on regional progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Represent The Humane League and the Open Wing Alliance in the Europe region at conferences, events, and external meetings.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing across regions by identifying and distributing best practices and lessons learned.
• A dedication to THL’s mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for good, along with an understanding of or interest in animal advocacy, corporate campaigns, or coalition-based work.
• Strong comprehension of and experience with corporate campaigning or coalition-based advocacy, as well as the ability to manage intricate stakeholder relationships across diverse cultural and regional contexts.
• Approaches work with a global perspective, considering diverse experiences and building relationships with stakeholders from various cultures, languages, and political systems.
• Proven experience in managing and developing teams, including setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing actionable feedback.
• Capacity to lead geographically dispersed staff, support their professional development, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of OWA member support and regional initiatives.
• Tackles multifaceted regional and coalition challenges by analyzing situations, synthesizing information, and making informed decisions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships across a diverse array of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capability to oversee multiple regional initiatives, campaigns, and member support efforts simultaneously.
• Ability to develop and lead the execution of regional strategies within a global coalition.
• Demonstrates a high level of ownership in advancing regional work, proactively identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey strategies, priorities, and expectations to a global network of partners.
• Experience utilizing data and performance insights to evaluate the effectiveness of regional campaigns, coalition activities, and member engagement.
