• Oversee the creation and management of cost plans and detailed CSA estimates from initial concept through to detailed design across various locations.
• Provide leadership in program-level estimating across numerous projects and campuses to facilitate portfolio-level decision-making.
• Deliver milestone cost updates, effectively communicating the basis of estimates, assumptions, inclusions/exclusions, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead quantity takeoffs and cost checks for intricate, multi-package CSA scopes, ensuring alignment among scope, drawings/models, and estimates.
• Coordinate estimating efforts across several teams and projects, ensuring consistency, precision, and clarity in outputs.
• Review contractor pricing, pay applications, and change orders; conduct comparative analyses and prepare recommendations for clients.
• Manage change evaluations and pricing analysis to support informed commercial decision-making.
• Drive benchmarking and cost modeling while assisting with life-cycle cost (LCC) analyses.
• Facilitate and spearhead value engineering (VE) initiatives; develop cost and schedule trade-off options.
• Support procurement and preconstruction efforts; collaborate with cost management, procurement, and project controls teams.
• Evaluate design development and program changes, providing timely estimate updates at suitable accuracy levels.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate estimating staff, contributing to team growth and the development of estimating tools.
• Prepare estimating materials suitable for leadership and client-facing presentations for executive, preconstruction, and governance meetings.
• Advocate for Turner & Townsend’s values, purpose, and collaborative culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field in construction.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction estimating or cost management on large-scale capital programs.
• Experience in data center or mission-critical construction is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in conceptual estimating, quantity takeoff, and cost fundamentals within CSA scopes; familiarity with MEP systems is an advantage.
• Proven experience in leading estimating teams and coordinating efforts across multiple projects or programs.
• Strong understanding of construction procurement strategies and commercial contract structures.
• Background in value engineering, feasibility analysis, and design/cost optimization.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and client-facing presentation abilities.
• Highly organized with the capability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced settings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CostX is strongly preferred; familiarity with AutoCAD or Navisworks is beneficial.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) or active pursuit of certification.
