This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Providing guidance to fellow EHS professionals in ensuring adherence to relevant safety and occupational health regulations globally.
• Taking on a leadership role across all business sectors to guarantee the successful implementation of global safety and occupational health initiatives, fostering a culture of workplace safety.
• Creating and ensuring the consistent application of policies, procedures, and programs on a global scale.
• Leading the ergonomic design strategy of the organization to further reduce long-term risks.
• Designing safety and occupational health programs based on data and trends to minimize the risk of injury or illness.
• Engaging in audit programs to assess compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Suggesting methods to enhance safety and occupational health outcomes and conveying technical solutions in easily understandable terms.
• Collaborating effectively with global and site EHS leadership to promote continuous improvement; Serving in a leadership capacity to support business unit leaders, engineering, and local operations in the successful execution of Safety and Occupational Health programs.
• Delivering data and trend analysis to effectively implement changes where necessary and align local site Safety and Occupational Health programs with business goals.
• Overseeing the adoption and execution of Safety and Occupational Health policies and programs at new operational sites and R&D facilities.
• Managing the integration of safety and occupational health (such as ergonomic) design criteria into capital engineering projects.
• Overseeing global programs including Machine Guarding, Powered Industrial Trucks, Lockout/Tagout, Industrial Hygiene, among others.
• Assisting with the implementation of digital management systems.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety, science, or engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in safety, occupational health, or related fields, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role as a people leader.
• Extensive technical expertise in safety and occupational health.
• Experience in managing and/or leading safety and occupational health programs at an international level.
• Capability to convert safety and occupational health knowledge into actionable business strategies.
• Proven ability to lead global cross-site and cross-functional teams.
• Preferred EHS-related certifications.
• Proficiency in English.
