Associate Director – Environmental Health and Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Lead a global team of EHS professionals, ensuring adherence to relevant health and safety regulations across various jurisdictions.

• Serve as a senior EHS leader throughout all business sectors, promoting a workplace culture that prioritizes harm-free practices.

• Create, implement, and advance uniform global EHS policies, procedures, and programs.

• Collaborate with business unit leaders, engineering teams, and site management to guarantee effective execution of safety and occupational health strategies.

• Design and implement global safety and occupational health programs based on data, trends, and risk assessments.

• Oversee the organization's ergonomic design strategy to reduce occupational health risks.

• Incorporate safety and occupational health design criteria into capital projects and engineering layouts.

• Engage in internal and external audits to evaluate compliance with corporate standards and regulatory mandates.

• Drive change management initiatives regarding personnel, equipment, processes, and operational adjustments.

• Deliver comprehensive data analysis, reporting, and insights to support decision-making and promote measurable enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in safety, occupational health, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Safety, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

• Professional certifications are highly desirable.

• Extensive technical expertise in safety and occupational health; knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability is a plus.

• Proven track record in leading safety and occupational health programs within large, multi-site, global organizations.

• Demonstrated experience working across Europe, Asia, and/or Latin America.

• Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are beneficial.
