Associate Director – Data Strategy, Enterprise Reporting and Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives on data initiatives, comprehending client profiles (CFO, CIO, CHRO, CAO) and providing guidance on leveraging data to achieve strategic objectives.

• Guide clients in the creation of a technology and data strategy program that democratizes data, utilizes modern cloud platforms, enhances data management, identifies critical control requirements, monitors data quality, and more.

• Improve clients’ technology framework and function as a Solution Architect to implement, collect, store, transform, process, and analyze data consistently, efficiently, and without siloes in a unified source of truth.

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across various cloud platforms.

• Lead the complete data solution implementation process, including ingestion, storage, transformation, and visualization using tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, Fivetran, Talend, PowerBI, Tableau, and Sigma Computing.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to outline technical requirements and best practices.

• Develop and uphold data governance, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.

• Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Assess emerging technologies and propose solutions to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

• Offer technical advice and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.

• Ensure smooth integration of data platforms within the enterprise architecture.

• Assist clients in the design and execution of forecasting and predictive analytics models.

• Conduct client interviews to pinpoint root causes of challenges; define and document business requirements.

• Perform current state/future state gap analysis for business and data processes.

• Create communications and presentations for executive-level audiences.

• Mentor team members by coaching colleagues, providing continuous feedback and annual performance evaluations, and assisting project teams in resolving complex issues.

• Foster business development by cultivating relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to go-to-market strategies and practice-specific programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of professional experience leading initiatives or client engagements with a focus on data strategy, data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based analytics solutions.

• More than 5 years of experience implementing Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• A minimum of 5 years managing technical teams dedicated to delivering analytical products and solutions.

• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake architectures, and real-time data processing.

• Knowledge of data security best practices, compliance standards, and access control mechanisms.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Familiarity with Python programming language (focusing on Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib packages).

• MBA / CPA preferred.

• Certifications in Snowflake / Alteryx / PowerBI / Tableau preferred.

• SnowPro Advanced Certification highly preferred.
