Associate Director, Clinical Supply Chain Sourcing Strategy, Innovation

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic drug sourcing initiatives that support global clinical trials.

• Create and uphold sourcing frameworks, governance models, and decision-making protocols.

• Foster innovation in comparator sourcing and develop the supplier ecosystem.

• Recognize and execute opportunities for process enhancement and operational scalability.

• Establish mechanisms for sourcing intelligence, knowledge management, and the sharing of best practices.

• Collaborate with Digital and Technology teams to assess and implement AI-driven solutions and workflow automation.

• Lead intricate cross-functional initiatives that encompass Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain departments.

• Assist in vendor relationship management, sourcing risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.

• Conduct industry benchmarking to uncover emerging sourcing models and innovation prospects.

• Offer strategic insights to senior leadership concerning sourcing strategies, operational efficiency, and future capability development.

• Mentor team members and contribute to building capabilities within the GRDS organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical supply chain, sourcing, procurement, strategy, or operational excellence roles.

• Strong grasp of global clinical trial operations and comparator sourcing.

• Proven experience in leading complex global and cross-functional projects.

• Preferred knowledge of regulatory, quality, GxP, import/export, and global supply chain requirements.

• Demonstrated proficiency in business process design, governance development, and organizational transformation.

• Experience with digital transformation, AI integration, process automation, or knowledge management initiatives is preferred.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities within matrix organizations.
