Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee non-clinical and early clinical pharmacology strategies throughout drug development initiatives.

• Direct PK/PD data analysis and modeling tasks utilizing both mechanistic and population modeling techniques.

• Implement quantitative and statistical methodologies in non-clinical and early-phase clinical pharmacology programs.

• Assist in regulatory communications and submissions, including INDs, BLAs, MAAs, Investigator’s Brochures, briefing documents, and agency responses.

• Effectively convey intricate clinical pharmacology concepts to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

• Offer scientific leadership within matrixed teams across various programs.

• Spearhead the analysis, integration, and reporting of clinical pharmacology data to guide dose selection and study design.

• Develop and execute pharmacology plans while ensuring adherence to best practices across project teams.

• Collaborate with clinicians and statisticians to refine dosing strategies and clinical trial designs.

• Manage study-level pharmacology tasks, including protocol and SAP development, execution, and reporting.

• Propel Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) strategies.

• Represent the Pharmacology team on global program teams, clinical sub-teams, and multifunctional groups.

• Mentor and guide junior colleagues and team members.

• Remain updated on scientific literature, regulatory standards, and internal SOPs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent professional training (PharmD), or post-doctoral experience in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutics, or a related scientific field.

• At least 3+ years of pertinent industry or academic experience in supporting pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and broader pharmacology functions in non-clinical and early clinical drug development.

• Practical experience in contributing to pharmacology strategy and implementation within pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings.

• Capability to apply scientific rigor in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
