This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assists in identifying and prioritizing deliverables across clinical departments (e.g., Medical Writing, Biostatistics, Drug Safety, Clinical Science), organizes cross-functional teams, and monitors progress towards goals and timelines.
• Understands and provides guidance on functional priorities within the broader context of facilitating organizational success.
• Aids in business planning activities, including budget evaluations, resource forecasting, and goal assessments.
• Supports the collection and analysis of business data, tracks progress against corporate and departmental objectives, and collaborates with Department Heads on Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Engages in problem-solving by utilizing an understanding of business and functional relationships to mobilize the appropriate individuals and solutions.
• Dedicates time to connect individuals and teams within the function, across various functions, and throughout the organization.
• Acts as a thought partner for vision and goal establishment, collaborating with teams to drive functional short-to-long-term business planning and execution.
• Ensures Department meetings remain focused with clear agendas and objectives, takes minutes, tracks deliverables as necessary, and follows up on actions as required.
• Anticipates the needs of the CMO and Department Heads, prompting actions and discussions that contribute to team success.
• Aids the CMO and Department Heads in balancing the demands of their functions with the overall needs of the organization.
• Provides advice on innovative approaches to meet organizational needs and address complex challenges within Departments and the larger organization.
• Identifies opportunities to leverage synergies, eliminate redundancies, drive operational excellence, and help control expenditures.
• Collaborates with the PMO team to ensure alignment on priorities, processes, and tools.
• Represents the Clinical Organization in relevant meetings and committees.
• Must comply with Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (a background in life sciences, learning sciences, or other relevant healthcare disciplines is preferred; an advanced degree such as an MBA is also preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly within a drug development organization, focusing on Business and Project Management is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
• Strong and demonstrated project management abilities, with a high degree of organization.
• Skilled in fostering positive, transparent, and productive relationships.
• Quickly adapts to rapidly changing business demands.
• Takes the initiative to creatively solve a variety of challenging problems.
• Demonstrated ability to question existing business standards and processes while proposing effective solutions.
• Embraces an enterprise mindset, clearly connecting functional activities to the broader organizational context.
• Proficient in key business management areas, including:
• Strategic planning
• Business process management and improvement
• Project management
• Team facilitation
• Communication and event planning
• Experience managing organizational cross-functional initiatives and/or business operations programs.
• Ability to develop and implement change management and communication strategies.
• Experience in clinical development/operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Quality functions and processes is desirable.
• Broad organizational and business understanding.
• Coursework or additional training in business or project management is desired (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, Agile methodology, etc.).
