This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee senior-level account planning and management for key designated accounts, leveraging specialized expertise in Caliber's operational areas.
• Spearhead the planning and execution of media initiatives and activities; act as the main, day-to-day client liaison and provide senior-level counsel on tactical matters aligned with strategic plans for selected accounts, anticipating client needs and preparing accordingly.
• Formulate media relations strategies for clients, establishing short- and long-term objectives while pursuing industry-relevant placements across various platforms, including print, online, radio, and television broadcast media.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses and industries; stay updated on emerging issues, trends, and news that may impact clients’ operations, proactively advising the team and clients on how to best leverage or address these developments.
• Enhance client relationships, establishing Caliber as a strategic partner consistently; be seen as a trusted advisor, maintaining close and regular counsel with clients.
• Provide mentorship and structure for staff delegation on a daily basis; drive media results for clients, ensuring proactive daily media outreach, reviewing materials drafted by team members, and offering constructive feedback.
• Report to an executive sponsor regarding the progress of deliverables, media outreach strategies, and actively propose solutions for necessary pivots.
• Coordinate and propel Caliber culture initiatives, focusing on innovative collaboration methods, working closely with the director team to set and execute employee engagement efforts.
• Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in public relations, particularly within B2B fintech, financial services, proptech, and/or insurtech.
• Extensive client service experience with strong relationships in key media categories (business, technology, etc.) that lead to significant coverage for clients.
• A strong intellectual curiosity about business operations and the role of communications in driving business growth.
• A genuine enthusiasm for fintech and financial services, including their ongoing innovation and evolution.
• Solutions-oriented with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
• A passion for communications paired with polished presentation skills.
• A collaborative team player who is supportive and considerate of others.
• An avid learner of the media landscape – identifying new publications, writers, and relevant topics.
