Associate Director, Analytics Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, execute, and sustain repeatable methodologies for data quality testing and automated validation frameworks across various client programs.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Program leadership to establish, enhance, and advance the Analytics Engineering function.

• Specify core processes, documentation standards, and delivery frameworks.

• Offer technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to members of the analytics engineering team.

• Engage in hands-on data tasks for essential projects and programs.

• Oversee data pipelines and warehouse architectures for accuracy, reliability, and compliance.

• Design, improve, and promote best practices and workflows in analytics engineering.

• Conduct regular code reviews and uphold best practices for code maintainability, performance, and scalability.

• Act as the technical subject matter expert in Analytics Engineering for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Carry out additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in data or analytics engineering, demonstrating expertise in data modeling, transformation frameworks, and modern warehouse architectures (experience in consulting or public sector is a plus).

• Proven experience in coaching or mentoring technical team members, including performing comprehensive code reviews and enforcing best practices.

• Established track record in designing, implementing, and sustaining methodologies for data quality testing and automated validation frameworks.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.

• Willingness and capability to engage in hands-on data tasks to aid project execution and fulfill complex client requirements.

• Strong experience in developing engineering workflows, documentation standards, and scalable practices to enhance client delivery.
