This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Working alongside a diverse team of writers, art directors, project managers, strategists, and genuinely nice individuals to create and implement multi-channel creative concepts that align with project briefs and brand identity.
• Approaching writing with a strategic mindset: analyzing briefs, pinpointing key insights, and ensuring that the creative idea has a tangible impact beyond mere aesthetics.
• Generating, composing, and refining content across various formats including websites, social media, emails, video storyboards, sales materials, presentations, infographics or data visualizations, brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and content strategies.
• Acting as a creative and strategic ally to the Creative Director, contributing to the thought process and confidently stepping into a higher-level role when necessary.
• Maintaining brand voice consistency across a complex array of business units within larger brand frameworks.
• Striking a balance between proposing innovative ideas and effectively producing fresh content within existing templates or methodologies.
• Managing multiple projects and deadlines while upholding high quality standards.
• Presenting your work with assurance, clarity, and robust justification.
• Remaining engaged and collaborative with the team while also working independently and taking initiative when required.
• A portfolio that showcases a variety of copywriting, editing, and strategic thinking across both long and short-form content.
• ACD-level experience leading initiatives within a creative department, whether at an agency or in-house for a financial brand.
• Experience in financial services—wealth management, banking, or fintech—and the ability to humanize complex products.
• A strong comfort level with strategy—capable of operating beyond execution to shape messaging frameworks, define positioning, and link creative output to broader business and audience goals.
• A commitment to collaboration, empathy, and innovation.
• Proficiency in collaborating using tools such as Google Docs/Drive, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Word/PowerPoint, Box, and Figma.
• References from colleagues who can attest to your copywriting/editing and leadership abilities.
