Associate – Consultant Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute high-quality, scalable technical solutions for both client and internal projects.

• Convert business and/or functional requirements into robust engineering designs.

• Take ownership of delivering clearly defined technical components or workstreams with minimal oversight.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues across diverse systems and environments.

• Assess technical alternatives and propose effective solutions that balance performance, cost, and maintainability.

• Work directly with clients to clarify needs and confirm assumptions.

• Articulate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to client-facing outputs, such as design documents, demonstrations, and presentations.

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and consulting team members to provide integrated solutions.

• Adhere to and assist in enforcing engineering best practices, code quality standards, and security guidelines.

• Ensure that deliverables align with client expectations and meet internal quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in a consulting, data, or software delivery setting.

• Over 2 years of experience in designing and deploying production-grade solutions within a modern technology stack (Python, SQL, dbt, React, Vue, AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Strong expertise in at least one core engineering domain (software/application, data, or cloud engineering).

• Comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles, including version control, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

• Proven ability to translate requirements into precise technical specifications or architecture diagrams.

• Practical experience with system integration, APIs, or data pipelines.

• Demonstrated capacity to independently deliver technical workstreams.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Strong collaborative and teamwork orientation within cross-functional and client-facing contexts.

• Dedication to producing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

• Experience in agile or iterative project environments.

• Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, or MS) in a Life Science-related field (preferred).

• Familiarity with emerging technologies in R&D, such as AI/ML in drug discovery, real-world evidence (RWE), and digital clinical trials (preferred).

• Background in data platform design (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift/Athena, BigQuery, etc.) (preferred).

• Experience or knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and infrastructure-as-code (preferred).

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization, or automation frameworks (preferred).

• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and analytics engineering principles (preferred).

• Experience in contributing to or leading code/design reviews (preferred).

• Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to internal best practices and accelerators (preferred).
