
Associate Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Support the General Counsel, the legal department, and senior management in addressing a range of legal matters pertaining to the ActiveCampaign family of businesses.
β’ Draft, negotiate, and review various agreements, including customer and vendor contracts, strategic partnership agreements, NDAs, master services agreements, and license agreements, among others.
β’ Act as a legal advisor to various internal departments and committees as needed.
β’ Assist in managing and overseeing relationships with external counsel when required.
β’ Collaborate closely with revenue operations and legal operations teams to enhance and streamline contractual workflows for maximum efficiency, automating processes where possible to refine existing contract workflows.
β’ Work in partnership with company leaders to assess practical and legal risks.
β’ A 4-year college degree along with a Juris Doctorate degree.
β’ Active membership in good standing with a State Bar.
β’ Over 3 years of experience as an attorney, specializing in transactional, commercial, or corporate law, with significant transactional expertise (preferably within a SaaS or technology company).
β’ Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts across various risk and value tiers.
β’ Experience in creating and maintaining legal resources, such as refining contractual playbooks.
β’ Previous experience working with tech industry clients and knowledge of global data privacy and protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
β’ Familiarity with contract management software (CMS), particularly with Ironclad and/or Zip (preferred but not mandatory).
β’ Experience advising clients with international operations, comprehending the intricacies of global business.
β’ Strong research and project management skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks.
β’ High levels of organization and self-motivation, with the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks efficiently.
