This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the development and execution of category strategies, performance objectives, and metrics for designated categories.
• Take ownership of key merchandising tasks, including the setup of new items, management of item lifecycles, and maintaining product detail page hygiene.
• Monitor product performance and offer recommendations that align with sales and margin objectives.
• Conduct research on the competitive landscape and consumer trends to uncover gaps in assortment, pricing, and promotions.
• Oversee communication with select vendors and act as the internal contact for category-specific functions.
• Assist in vendor negotiations and collaborative business planning under the guidance of Supply Chain Management.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across product detail pages and internal systems.
• Analyze trends at both the SKU and brand level, along with competitive pricing and promotional effectiveness.
• Optimize business processes and manage documentation and tracking for category and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Content, Marketing, and Creative teams to execute category strategies.
• Lead assigned category initiatives and short-term projects with mentorship from management.
• Work collaboratively across departments to enhance category performance and provide a superior member experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, category management, purchasing, retail, eCommerce, or a related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with sales, pricing, and inventory data.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure item-level accuracy across various systems.
• Experience in negotiation and/or understanding of vendor negotiation strategies.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
• A sense of curiosity, a sense of ownership, and a desire to progress into a Category Manager position.
