Associate Attorney – General Liability, Insurance Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Oversee a varied caseload from beginning to end, offering strategic legal guidance and representation in court, arbitration, and depositions.

• Conduct file reviews and perform legal analysis on claims and causes of action.

• Engage in comprehensive legal research and draft significant briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.

• Frequently represent clients in court, during arbitrations, and at depositions.

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.

• Collaborate with expert witnesses for retention and feedback.

• Prepare for and attend trials.

• Work closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic and practical legal advice.

• Manage assignments and deadlines with a strong sense of ownership and autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• Active license to practice law in the specified state (mandatory); additional bar admissions are advantageous.

• At least 2 years of experience within the relevant practice group.

• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.

• Familiarity with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

• Professional demeanor coupled with strong client relations and communication skills.

• Must demonstrate responsiveness and organizational skills, with the capability to prioritize various tasks.
