Associate Application Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, document, and execute test cases

• Validate functionalities according to business requirements

• Identify, document, and track defects

• Analyze testing results and generate progress reports

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve incidents

• Ensure software quality through continuous testing

• Assess risks and propose improvements in testing processes

• Participate in defining testing strategies

• Translate business specifications into logical, measurable, and reproducible test scenarios

• Design cases to ensure maximum code coverage

• Anticipate error scenarios and alternative flows through requirements analysis

• Analyze root causes to isolate defects

• Evaluate risks and issues and prioritize test cases based on business impact

• Create test cases and test matrices

• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and certification tests

• Generate reports and interpret metrics and progress graphs

• Apply automation knowledge and programming logic to strengthen test scripts

• Collaborate with functional, technical, and business specialists in the implementation and integration of solutions and systems

• Contribute to customer satisfaction through value-added services and products

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in testing

• Analytical focus and questioning of software behavior under stress or unusual usage conditions

• Logical and critical thinking, detail-oriented

• Ability to understand the business and the end customer

• Skill in translating business specifications into logical, measurable, and reproducible test scenarios

• Design cases with extensive code coverage

• Ability to foresee error scenarios and alternative flows through requirements analysis

• Root cause analysis to isolate defects

• Judgment to evaluate risks and issues and prioritize test cases based on business impact

• Creation of test cases and matrices

• Execution of functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and certification tests

• Generation of reports and interpretation of metrics and progress graphs

• Basic knowledge of automation

• Understanding of programming logic to strengthen test scripts

• Knowledge of automation tools

• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies

• Experience in the financial sector

• Desirable knowledge of ATMs, but not essential

• Proficiency in tools for documenting and tracking errors and assigning them to developers

• Familiarity with JIRA and ALM

• Punctuality, teamwork, effective communication, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving, decision-making, logical thinking, stress management, adaptability, conflict management, assertiveness, and empathy

• Specialization or experience in the verification and validation of packaged enterprise applications, such as SAP, Salesforce, Oracle EBS, or Siebel
