This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze and project financial, economic, and additional data to facilitate strategic and operational choices.
• Establish key performance indicators and deliver data analyses that bolster business intelligence.
• Assess industry, economic, financial, and market trends to predict short-, medium-, and long-term financial and competitive standing.
• Assist in the design, execution, and management of intricate value-based care initiatives.
• Concentrate on contracting, implementation, data analysis, and actuarial modeling of value-based care performance expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of value-based care objectives with the organization’s goals.
• Create and implement processes and controls to guarantee data integrity and smooth data flow.
• Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and challenges.
• Diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and devise cost-effective solutions for data discrepancies.
• Define technical strategies for project components and shape departmental strategy.
• Report directly to the Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
• Capability to effectively communicate ideas in both written and verbal formats.
• MAAA and/or capacity to issue Statements of Actuarial Opinion (preferred).
• Proficient in SAS, SQL, or Python (preferred).
• Ability to explain technical concepts to audiences without actuarial expertise (preferred).
• Highly collaborative nature (preferred).
• Familiarity with value-based contracts (preferred).
• Understanding of Medicare members, claims, and revenue (preferred).
• A workspace that minimizes interruptions to safeguard PHI/HIPAA information.
• Home internet service with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings.
