This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska, +2 more states.
• Create actuarial templates and suggest methodologies to improve analytical workflows
• Spearhead projects aimed at enhancing team tools and processes
• Oversee actuarial projects, ensuring they are completed accurately and within deadlines
• Conduct peer evaluations of actuarial work
• Refine and update current actuarial models
• Analyze unfamiliar topics and innovate methods, adapting from standard tools/formulas as needed
• Clearly and effectively justify and explain actuarial work and decisions
• Communicate efficiently within the team, seek assistance when necessary, and mentor junior colleagues
• Deliver analyses and insights to both internal and external stakeholders
• Suggest changes to methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training is necessary
• ACAS certification is mandatory
• Capability to interpret and analyze different types of data
• Proficient in writing reports and correspondence
• Ability to present analytical findings and concepts to varied audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, including Word, Access, and PowerPoint
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Tableau, R, SAS, Python, or Microsoft SQL, including data extraction and manipulation
