This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Monitors trends in custom automation across various market sectors and translates that research into actionable prospecting and new opportunities.
• Tasked with establishing JRA as the foremost automation, integration, and custom machine manufacturing company, contributing to positive recognition and growth within our industry while achieving annual lead targets.
• Comprehends customer needs and expectations to deliver pertinent solutions.
• Generates new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up as well as outbound cold calls and emails.
• Develops order/bookings forecasts as required using the Salesforce CRM system.
• Gathers and compiles market and account intelligence data.
• Leverages established relationships with partners to expand the customer base.
• Collects and organizes market and industry data.
• Initiates and guides customer conversations to identify opportunities.
• Meets sales lead objectives established by the VP of Sales.
• Gathers customer requirements and formulates recommendations.
• Promotes a reputation and enthusiasm for top-tier customer service in the industry.
• Represents the company and project teams during customer meetings.
• Determines and documents project requirements for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborates with all business units to address customer needs.
• Manages small to medium projects as necessary.
• Builds and maintains leads with potential customers by applying the highest level of skills in salesmanship, product knowledge, understanding of customers' businesses, and familiarity with JR Automation's strategic plans for sales growth.
• A degree in engineering, business administration, advertising, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
• Over two years of experience in a sales or research role within a manufacturing, industrial service, or custom automation environment.
• Previous experience with JR Automation or within the automation industry is highly preferred.
• Proven knowledge of sales and marketing strategies.
• Ability to cultivate effective negotiation skills while representing the company's long-term business interests.
• A passion for manufacturing and automation combined with a demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Self-driven to assist the company in achieving ambitious sales lead objectives.
• Proficient in relationship-building.
• Capable of thriving in a team-oriented setting.
