• Acquire new customers by achieving or surpassing growth objectives through telephone/video communications and occasional sales presentations.
• This engagement encompasses the entire sales process, including prospecting, maintenance (minimum of 12 months from the first invoice), proposals, contracts, price adjustments, cancellations, and contract renewals.
• Foster relationships with new clients while enhancing revenue and profits through service modifications, cross-selling, and price adjustments.
• Execute sales strategies to optimize revenue and profits by maintaining and penetrating all assigned customer accounts.
• Address issues and coordinate customer requirements with the Operations and/or Customer Experience team.
• Act as a liaison between clients and the accounts payable department for receivables collection upon request.
• Actively engage in Regional Sales Meetings and contribute to overarching regional strategies.
• Engage in a highly consultative sales approach, effectively conveying the company's value proposition and the advantages of partnering with the Clean Earth brand over traditional waste services providers and direct competitors.
• Develop presentations for significant sales prospects.
• Oversee the creation of sales objectives, territory and account selling strategies, ensuring their implementation.
• Complete territory forecasts.
• Respond to and execute all necessary steps to secure incoming leads that align with the revenue expectations outlined for this role.
• Conduct daily outreach to new prospects within the designated territory, while identifying leads through various online platforms, networking, key vendors, and peers in local and national organizations.
• Monitor and report sales performance against established goals utilizing approved performance metrics.
• This role is primarily focused on hunting but also includes a short duration for farming new accounts (minimum of 12 months) to deepen sales and present additional Clean Earth services.
• Undertake other reasonably related tasks assigned by management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sciences, Marketing, or Management, or an Associate's degree with 1+ years of experience in the environmental sector.
• At least 1 year of experience in sales or customer service, or a related field.
• Familiarity with RCRA, DOT, and DEA regulatory environments.
• Comparable background/experience in waste management or environmental services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com.
• Experience in managing a territory while demonstrating a proven history of sales success in achieving or exceeding ambitious growth targets and sales quotas is preferred.
• Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to establish or rapidly build relationships within C-level, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing functions within the retail industry.
• Ability to establish or quickly build relationships within Environmental Health and Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing functions within the manufacturing sector.
