This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Transform intricate electoral, organizing, and network capacity-building efforts into engaging narratives grounded in racial and economic justice along with progressive values.
• Create and manage impactful content across various platforms including email, social media, web, press materials, and toolkits — encompassing copywriting, graphic design, and video editing.
• Maintain quality and narrative consistency across all communication materials; oversee consultants and vendors for specialized requirements.
• Implement digital strategies for acquiring new supporters, recruiting digital volunteers, and executing communication strategies via email, SMS, organic and paid social media, and web — ensuring clear transitions from initial contact to active participation.
• Assist in grassroots fundraising initiatives.
• Administer channel analytics and campaign infrastructure to monitor performance and enhance outcomes over time.
• Collaborate closely with the Organizing, Field, and Fundraising teams, along with the Digital Organizing and Communications Director, to align digital strategies with the overall organizing framework and on-ground necessities.
• Supervise a team of super volunteers and potentially additional staff through effective coaching, clear delegation, and accountability mechanisms.
• Guide and shape strategic organizational and network-wide communications across various programs and initiatives for diverse audiences — including funders, movement allies, and network partners.
• Develop and sustain organizational communications infrastructure — incorporating CRM setup and management across programs (such as email templates, tagging, editorial calendaring as necessary), a writing and content directory, and oversight of branded materials — as part of strategic communications planning organization-wide.
• Offer communications and digital organizing coaching, technical support, and training to network partner organizations primarily operating within working-class communities of color.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in digital organizing and strategic communications, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior role overseeing staff and strategy.
• Demonstrated success in executing impactful email and organic social media strategies within electoral, advocacy, or base-building frameworks.
• Proficient understanding of both electoral campaign settings and movement/advocacy communications.
• Experience in developing and leading narrative strategies, including the facilitation of tools and frameworks with partners.
• Excellent writing, editing, and message consistency skills across different audiences and formats — including email composition for volunteer mobilization and fundraising efforts.
• Strong graphic design capabilities, with a proven ability to independently create engaging collateral (using Canva, Adobe Suite).
• Knowledge of CRMs and web analytics, with a preference for familiarity with Solidarity Tech, Action Network, and/or EveryAction.
• Exceptional project management abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple workstreams with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-driven, proactive communicator with sound judgment and high emotional intelligence.
• Proven experience collaborating closely with working-class BIPOC leaders and grassroots organizations grounded in working-class communities of color.
• Experience in advancing some or all of the following strategies: building broad coalitions across political viewpoints, volunteer-led organizing, and face-to-face persuasion and mobilization discussions.
