Assistant Video Editor – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist Video Editors and Producers in crafting polished, professional video content for social media and digital marketing initiatives.

• Organize video footage and provide support during the post-production phase.

• Prepare graphics, enhance audio, add captions, and deliver the finalized content.

• Transform raw footage into captivating videos that maintain brand consistency.

• Manage various projects simultaneously while integrating feedback effectively.

• Travel as necessary to film on location.

• Set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, encompassing timeline editing, media management, audio synchronization, basic color correction, and export settings.

• Proficient in Adobe After Effects, including motion graphics, text animation, and utilization of existing templates.

• Familiarity with Canva and the ability to work with established brand templates.

• Proven experience in creating professional social media videos that feature clear storytelling, intentional pacing, clean graphics, and consistent audio.

• Knowledge of platform-specific video formats, aspect ratios, captions, and the proper placement of text within safe viewing areas.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to follow creative direction, implement feedback, and meet deadlines across multiple projects.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Willingness to travel as needed for on-location filming, including the setup and operation of camera, lighting, and audio equipment.

• A portfolio or links to video samples showcasing editing, motion graphics, and social media production skills, along with a brief description of contributions to each example.
