This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide executive leadership for enterprise EV battery sales and customer retention.
• Achieve Business Unit revenue targets exceeding $60M annually while ensuring sustained growth.
• Define market vision and develop a go-to-market strategy that aligns with Retail Solutions Sales objectives.
• Oversee execution across both direct and indirect sales channels.
• Build and lead high-performing teams while driving capability development.
• Mentor direct reports to enhance team skills and overall performance.
• Establish, implement, and monitor essential policies and procedures critical to the mission.
• Formulate product and market strategies informed by industry and market trends.
• Guide pricing/packaging, product development, customer service, marketing, sales channels, and OEM/electrification strategies.
• Incorporate automotive insights into account strategies, client engagements, go-to-market tactics, and business development efforts.
• Gather customer feedback regarding industry electrification and relay market and product insights to leadership.
• Transform industry and competitive intelligence into actionable revenue plans and programs.
• Identify revenue and market share opportunities and facilitate their successful execution.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for Business Unit sales goals and resource allocation.
• Develop operational infrastructure, metrics, reports, tools, training, and sales materials.
• Create and implement annual business plans while managing divisional expense budgets.
• Lead, manage, coach, and develop direct reports effectively.
• Supervise team hiring, training, development, client-facing content, subject matter experts, and scalable programs.
• Establish action plans, success metrics, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in selected local and national industry events.
• Track market conditions and trends.
• Collaborate with business partners on compensation, training, and sales incentive programs.
• Cultivate professional relationships through business and professional organizations.
• Remove business obstacles, identify necessary resources, and create compelling business cases.
• A BA/BS degree is required along with 14+ years of relevant work experience in a related field, which must include at least 7 years in a leadership role; alternatives include an MS degree plus 12 years, a Ph.D. degree plus 9 years, or 18+ years of experience without a degree.
• Experience as an OEM supplier is advantageous.
• A preference for candidates with 2+ years in EV, engineering, or highly technical sales/client engagement, although it is not mandatory.
• Proven understanding of business principles and familiarity with best practices.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively/analytically with a strong customer focus.
• Experience in a matrixed account management structure and a successful track record among matrix team leaders.
• Proven experience managing annual revenues of $45–50M+.
• Background in leading cross-functional, multidisciplinary, remote sales teams.
• Strong executive presence with the capability to interface with C-suite clients and Cox Automotive ELT/SLT teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry.
• An entrepreneurial self-starter with a strong perspective and the ability to implement a vision.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders and cultures.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for day and overnight trips as necessary.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Current authorization to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship is required.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship will be provided now or in the future.
• Annual incentive/commission target of $100,000.00.
