This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Assist the Financial Institutions (FI) Relationship Manager(s) / Senior Relationship Manager(s) in developing Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Plans, and addressing operational issues.
• Support FI RMs / SRMs in enhancing relationships with FI clients and meeting both financial and non-financial objectives for the designated FI clients or countries.
• Help manage cross-border limits/exposures for the designated countries/FI clients alongside FI RMs / SRMs.
• Assist FI RMs / SRMs in the marketing of FI products through a highly professional and targeted approach, in accordance with the specified marketing plan/strategy.
• Act as a substitute for RMs / SRMs during their absence.
• Aid the RMs in identifying: a) the ongoing needs of existing clients through regular calls, analysis, and provision of market updates to foster business growth and gather feedback for relationship and service improvements; and b) new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with the bank’s product capabilities and relevant operational, risk management, and financial crime/compliance policies.
• Provide "backup" support to the RMs with daily client management, collaborating with local teams, including operations.
• Maintain a) appropriate personal relationship contacts (and serve as RM back-up) with existing clients and FIs, aiming to expand and diversify the core branch payments and trade finance business with identified names/sectors; and b) collaborate with RMs on relationships/contacts to enhance the origination and development of more trade finance deals, risk participations, syndications, trade loans, bilateral loans, etc.
• Coordinate with the RM team and other units in the branch/bank to uphold and improve service delivery standards, ensuring high-quality service for the bank’s clients and timely resolution of any client concerns or operational issues.
• Strong understanding of the economy, market conditions, and regulatory landscape in the local market and relevant countries impacting Mashreq's business.
• Practical knowledge of trade finance/products in payments & treasury services, as well as a broader understanding of financial products.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of banking experience, inclusive of correspondent and corporate banking roles.
• Proficient in credit/financial analysis, with a solid awareness of financial crime (including AML/CFT & KYC) and related policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
