
Assistant Regional Sales Manager – Eastern U.S.

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the Regional Sales Manager in guiding, mentoring, and developing General Managers and their sales teams.
• Aid in driving sales performance and meeting company objectives.
• Collaborate with General Managers to cultivate a culture of accountability for sales growth, customer satisfaction, employee morale, and expense management.
• Provide coaching to General Managers and sales teams on essential sales processes, including phone conversations, customer engagement, follow-up strategies, and closing methods.
• Work with the RSM to formulate and implement performance enhancement plans.
• Deliver continuous coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
• Regularly visit assigned locations.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining talent.
• Track key performance indicators such as lead generation, appointments, conversion rates, backlog, closings, cancellations, and gross profit.
• Ensure the execution of company sales promotions, programs, and initiatives.
• Supervise deal flow, contract accuracy, customer timelines, and backlogs.
• Help resolve issues affecting customers, sales performance, and team dynamics.
• Oversee sales center websites to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency to enhance the customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and safety expectations.
• Foster a customer-first culture.
• Evaluate customer satisfaction and service standards.
• Aid in resolving escalated customer issues and complex service challenges.
• Ensure customers receive professional, timely, and consistent communication throughout the home-buying journey.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and bolster the company’s reputation within each market.
• Monitor home inventories, display furniture and décor, and manage location expenses.
• Analyze location scorecards, performance metrics, and operational reports to discover opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in setting annual sales goals, forecasts, and business plans.
• Act as a communication bridge between assigned sales centers, the Regional Sales Manager, and corporate departments.
• Convey company objectives, initiatives, policies, and expectations to field leadership.
• Serve as the acting Regional Sales Manager during temporary absences.
• Support leadership development, training programs, and special projects.
• Provide additional assistance to locations undergoing leadership transitions or facing performance challenges.
• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is preferred.
• A minimum of five years in progressive retail sales leadership, including experience in coaching, leading, and developing sales teams.
• Preferred experience in managing a retail sales center, branch, or multi-location operation.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% within the region, including some day trips and overnight stays.
• Competence in coaching, mentoring, and developing leaders and high-performing teams.
• Understanding of financial matters.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to analyze business performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization capabilities.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and reporting systems.
• Experience in manufactured housing sales, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
