This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ The Assistant Project Manager, reporting to the Project Manager, is tasked with collaborating with an assigned Project Manager to facilitate and achieve the required project tasks and objectives.
β’ Assist in the initial project setup once the award and estimate transfer is finalized.
β’ Contribute to the project execution plan, critical risk path, and milestone schedule for each project assigned.
β’ Provide guidance on resource allocation to ensure that each milestone is completed on time.
β’ Oversee project alterations through established change management protocols and guarantee that all modifications are effectively communicated to both the Client and the project team.
β’ Keep all project documentation up to date, including the project execution plan, risk register, schedule, health and safety plan, quality plan, and any mandatory REG project documentation.
β’ Report all project expenditures to the Project Manager and ensure compliance with the approved budget.
β’ Align man-hour forecasts for the projects assigned.
β’ Manage and coordinate activities related to project materials, equipment, and subcontracts to ensure the successful and timely fulfillment of project requirements.
β’ Ensure prompt processing of accounts receivable and payable invoices to maintain cash flow.
β’ Maintain project reporting for both the Client and internal stakeholders.
β’ Facilitate effective communication among the Client, project team, and project stakeholders.
β’ Assist in project meetings, including kick-offs, updates, change orders, recovery plans, and lessons learned.
β’ Monitor safety and environmental reporting requirements for each assigned project.
β’ Oversee quality and acceptance reporting for each assigned project.
β’ Determine project staffing needs, including specialty consultants and subcontractors.
β’ Set clear expectations for project team members to ensure successful project delivery.
β’ Support the Project Manager during project closeout and post-mortems to identify areas needing improvement and provide recommendations based on findings.
β’ A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
β’ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience managing medium to large full cycle construction projects is required.
β’ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with demonstrated capability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, are advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, HardDollar, and ViewPoint Construction Software is preferred.
β’ A valid class 5 driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
