📋 Description

• The Assistant Professor, Didactic is responsible for facilitating distance education by utilizing innovative teaching methods, state-of-the-art technologies, and industry trends that showcase advancements in the field. This role emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to advanced practice nursing education and healthcare delivery, both within the College and beyond.

• The individual will be responsible for delivering the nursing curriculum in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the Program.

• Engage with students throughout the nursing education process, including assessing their potential for success within the program.

• Responsible for the successful achievement of key performance indicators, program and functional outcomes, and the overall success of the College’s mission within Nursing Education Services.

• Demonstrate active involvement in academic or professional organizations related to the field and assist in the recruitment and development of faculty members.

• Tasked with developing and updating the curriculum in collaboration with relevant committees.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in higher nursing education, preferably in an online format.

• Possession of a Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution.

• An active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from the state of residence, with the ability to secure RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction as mandated by the College, including a valid multi-state license.

• Must have either a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or be committed to obtaining this certification within one year.

• Keep current knowledge across various areas of nursing practice.

• Additional Contributions: Participation in Annual Professional Development, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), involvement in Committees, and maintaining a learner load consistent with the current faculty matrix for assigned course(s).
