This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Formulate strategic media recommendations for brands, ranging from small startups to large corporations, across diverse verticals.
• Develop client-facing sales presentations and media proposals, encompassing channel justification, audience strategies, budget distribution, and measurement frameworks.
• Create and oversee insertion orders (IOs), ensuring precision in specifications, budgeting, scheduling, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with in-platform channel experts (Paid Social, Google Ads, Programmatic) to convert strategy into scalable tactical initiatives.
• Assist with CPG/Retail Media planning (Walmart Connect, Amazon Ads, Instacart, Target Roundel) as necessary and applicable.
• Collect and synthesize insights on audience, competitors, industry trends, and market dynamics, utilizing tools like GWI, Dstillery, and Pathmatics.
• Incorporate the latest media trends and best practices (including privacy updates, platform changes, creative developments, and measurement advancements) into proposals.
• Aid in proposal creation across a wide spectrum of budgets ($5K–$250K+ per month) and goals (from brand awareness to performance-focused initiatives).
• Contribute to the development of measurement and reporting strategies, encompassing KPI selection, test design, and learning agendas.
• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure presentations are visually appealing, aligned with the brand, and compelling.
• Maintain internal records, templates, and operational processes to enhance team productivity.
• Offer optimization suggestions to current clients based on insights derived from campaign performance.
• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in advertising/media (agency experience is essential).
• Demonstrated experience in devising advertising strategies and media plans primarily for B2C clients of various sizes.
• Familiarity with insertion orders (IOs) and/or media buying documentation processes.
• Experience managing recommendations for a range of budgets ($5K–$100K+ monthly) with clear justifications for allocation, phasing, and anticipated results.
• Strong research skills: capable of gathering, interpreting, and synthesizing audience and competitive insights using tools such as GWI, Dstillery, Bombora, Pathmatics, etc.
• Proficiency in deck building and storytelling (including structure, narrative flow, visuals, and clarity for executive audiences).
• Comfort with basic data analysis (extracting insights from performance data, recognizing trends, and validating metrics).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); strong Excel skills are a plus.
