Assistant Manager – Trade Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Offer guidance and consultation to commercial clients regarding Export Finance, Export Payments, Document Verification, Letter of Credit Advising/Confirmation/Transfer, Collections, and Risk Participation.

• Provide insights and consultation to the Product Development Team concerning Trade Finance operations in alignment with International Standards and ICC Publications/OPM/APPM/Local Rules and Regulations.

• Ensure that all developed procedures adhere to Bank Policies and Guidelines.

• Address customer complaints promptly and take necessary actions to resolve them.

• Guarantee timely achievement of MBOs.

• Conduct due diligence in reviewing applications, especially for Priority Customers, high-value transactions, and requests for Back-to-back Letters of Credit/Red Clause Letters of Credit.

• Ensure compliance with SLA. All processes should follow SOP/OPM and UCP/ISBP as relevant, approved under the Product Program. Charge recoveries should align with existing guidelines.

• Perform sanction checks on relevant parties in documents and ensure compliance with TBML regulations.

• Manage documents related to Commodity Trade Operations.

• Ensure there are no unresolved reconciliation entries in Nostro or Internal accounts on a daily basis.

• Promote cross-skilling within the team for at least two additional products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a comprehensive understanding of Trade Finance products and processes.

• CDCS/CITF/CTFP certification is required.

• In-depth knowledge of Swift, Trade Finance, and Financial Operating Systems.

• General knowledge of Banking practices.

• A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Trade Finance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PPT).

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal capabilities.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure, with exceptional organizational skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
