This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the principal legal advisor for MSO data governance, privacy, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity issues.
• Provide guidance to MSO business leaders regarding privacy, security, and AI compliance requirements.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contractual terms related to privacy and security for MSO.
• Collaborate with MSO's information security and technology departments.
• Oversee legal support for MSO's incident preparedness and response efforts.
• Assist in MSO governance and reporting activities, including updates for the board and executives.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with MSO stakeholders.
• At least 9 years of experience practicing law.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and data governance.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in a US state.
• Well-versed in cybersecurity and privacy laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA/HITECH).
• Proven experience in supervising external legal counsel.
• Strong abilities in risk prioritization and management.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
