Assistant General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Provide a comprehensive range of legal services to support Alliance.

• Reduce legal risks by practicing across various legal domains.

• Offer legal assistance with contracts, including drafting and advisory services.

• Conduct legal research and analysis, while collecting and evaluating information.

• Represent Alliance throughout all phases of legal disputes.

• Engage with external stakeholders and facilitate consumer relations.

• Remain accessible to Alliance as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from a law school accredited by the ABA and licensed to practice law in NC.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.

• Legal expertise in representing state agencies or local governments.

• Familiarity with State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding Medicaid, Healthcare, Managed Care operations, and/or publicly funded healthcare services.

• Preference for candidates with experience in judicial environments and familiarity with judicial stakeholders in Johnston, Harnett, and Cumberland counties.

• Preference for candidates with Medicaid law experience and experience representing governmental entities.

• Clinical or healthcare law experience is also desirable.
