Assistant Designer – Freelancer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist project teams within a design-focused, professional studio atmosphere

• Create presentation materials utilizing digital, 3D, and graphic media

• Generate drawings and packages for planning, technical, tender, and construction phases

• Provide conceptual sketching, illustrative design, and visualization support

• Contribute to design research, precedent studies, material exploration, and technical references

• Draft, set up, and modify drawings in alignment with studio CAD/BIM standards

• Manage project files, coordinate drawing issues, and oversee printing and documentation control

• Engage in internal design discussions and attend project meetings

• Conduct fieldwork, site surveys, and research tasks as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related design field

• Post-graduate qualification is preferred

• Student membership with the Landscape Institute (or similar) working towards professional accreditation is a plus

• Basic knowledge of the UK planning system and policy landscape

• Understanding of technical standards pertinent to design and construction documentation

• Familiarity with professional studio processes and stages of project delivery
