This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Oversees the credit risk associated with a portfolio of ABL relationships, which includes the regular assessment of risk ratings, adherence to covenants, trends in borrowing bases, and compliance with reporting requirements.
• Cultivates and sustains relationships with designated ABL clients through consistent meetings and communications.
• Keeps an updated evaluation of client relationships as well as current credit and legal documentation.
• Collaborates with internal partners, including market Relationship Managers and Treasury, as well as the Credit teams.
• Evaluates the operational performance and financial health of clients, proactively identifying issues and opportunities, and suggesting risk mitigation strategies, including managing problematic credits when necessary.
• Accountable for overseeing and ensuring the quality of credit and the integrity of data.
• Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders involved in deals, such as clients, market Relationship Managers, and Credit teams, to meet client needs and adapt to changing business conditions.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a business-related field or STEM.
• At least 5 years of experience in ABL, underwriting, field examination, credit officer, or loan officer roles.
• Requires comprehensive knowledge of credit policies, banking regulations, and loan documentation matters.
• Capable of reading and interpreting both financial and legal documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Possesses analytical skills and the ability to solve problems independently.
• Must have a solid understanding of various loan structures and the capability to apply this knowledge to formulate prudent credit recommendations.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a performance-oriented environment.
• Fully understands and operates effectively within the company’s credit culture, with the ability to promote this culture within the team.
• Proven ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of individual requests and make informed recommendations to mitigate perceived risks.
• We welcome candidates residing in SC, NC, GA, FL, TN, or AL.
• This position requires approximately 25% travel, with the potential for additional travel based on business requirements.
• Preference is given to candidates who can work from one of our locations; however, we are open to considering highly qualified individuals regardless of their proximity.
