This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation and onboarding process. Facilitate the establishment of Newsela’s assessment products for designated accounts, which includes onboarding, configuration, and support during the go-live phase. Be the reliable resource customers can rely on during their launch.

• Provide ongoing advisory and support. Collaborate with customers to enhance their utilization of Newsela assessments. This may involve interpreting scores, identifying additional assessment requirements, coaching on data usage, and conducting reviews that lead to outcomes worthy of renewal.

• Carry out assessment migration and content services. Perform assessment migration and content tasks for assigned accounts, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and timelines.

• Take ownership of your accounts. Oversee your portfolio of customer engagements from start to finish: define scope, manage schedules, communicate effectively, and deliver results. Proactively escalate issues when assistance is required.

• Document and enhance processes. Record successful strategies in playbooks, templates, and reusable resources, enabling the team to grow stronger with each engagement.

• Collaborate across functions. Work closely with teams in Customer Service, Sales, Product, and Content, being a dependable and approachable teammate.

• Represent the customer’s voice. Relay insights and patterns from your customer interactions back to the team, prioritizing evidence over anecdotes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in K-12 EdTech, assessment, and/or customer-facing professional services.

• A comprehension of formative and/or interim assessments, including their construction, application, and how educators utilize data in decision-making.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable composing clear customer emails and guiding district leaders through data discussions.

• Highly organized and reliable. You can manage multiple workstreams effectively and proactively alert others when issues arise.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity. You are a problem-solver capable of making progress without a fully defined playbook at hand.

• A sincere interest in assessment, understanding how educators apply data to enhance teaching and learning, and how administrators utilize it for decision-making. You don’t need to be an expert yet, but you should be eager to become one.

• Previous experience as an educator, instructional coach, or district-level assessment leader is a plus.

• Prior involvement in a services, implementation, or customer success team at an EdTech or assessment organization is advantageous.

• Familiarity with various types of assessments beyond formative and/or interim assessments and their application in schools is a bonus.

• Knowledge of standards frameworks, item-writing principles, or psychometric fundamentals is a bonus.

• Experience working in a product-led organization where services and product teams collaborate closely is a bonus.

🏝️ Benefits

• Comprehensive medical benefits with employer contributions to premiums and HSA accounts.

• Additional perks such as gym reimbursements, pet insurance, free access to the Calm app, Rocket Lawyer, and more to support your overall well-being: mind, body, and soul.

• We operate as a fully remote company and provide a monthly tech stipend to assist with your work-from-home requirements!

• Inclusive benefits designed to support you and your family, including parental leave, fertility assistance, adoption support, and more!

• Invest in your future with our 401(k) plan, which features an employer match to help you achieve long-term financial stability.

• Newsela provides an annual learning and development allowance for employees to participate in external training sessions, classes, workshops, conferences, and educational materials to encourage professional growth in their current roles and career aspirations at Newsela.

• Regardless of your role or department, your daily contributions help shape the future of education and enhance the lives of both students and teachers.
