Asphalt Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Operate various types of construction equipment safely and efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.

• A CDL is preferred but not mandatory.

• A High School diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.

• Must demonstrate punctuality and reliability.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends as necessary.

• Must be capable of working in varying weather conditions and in dirty or dusty environments.

• Membership in a Local Operators Union, or a willingness to join, is required; prior union membership is not necessary.

• Must pass or have previously passed the Operators Union aptitude test when applicable.

• Safely operate machinery to transport construction materials, earth, and other items at the construction site.

• Ability to read and comprehend grade stakes, automated machine control displays, and similar equipment.

• A minimum of 3 years of paving experience is required.

• Proficient in maneuvering machinery in confined spaces, near people, traffic, and utilities.

• Skilled in cleaning, maintaining, and assisting in the repair of equipment.
