This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create realistic chip architectures, along with RTL, debugging, and verification tasks grounded in practical engineering experience.
• Develop comprehensive reference solutions, which include RTL implementations, verification environments, testbenches, and supporting documentation utilizing Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Assess AI-generated hardware solutions, pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, and deliver thorough technical feedback.
• Examine the challenges AI models face concerning hardware engineering concepts, debugging, verification strategies, and design trade-offs.
• Work collaboratively with other hardware engineers to ensure consistency, technical precision, and high-quality engineering standards throughout all evaluation tasks.
• Contribute to enhancing AI’s comprehension of contemporary digital design methodologies, verification practices, and semiconductor development workflows.
• Practical experience in **ASIC and/or SoC design**, functional verification, or digital hardware development, ideally involving production silicon or tapeout projects.
• Strong expertise in **SystemVerilog** and **Verilog**.
• Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools such as **Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, Siemens Questa, VC Formal, Verdi**, or comparable open-source tools including **Icarus Verilog, Verilator, Cocotb, Yosys,** and **OpenROAD**.
• Solid understanding of system-level hardware concepts including interface protocols, clock-domain crossing (CDC), handshaking, backpressure, and multi-module data flow.
• Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
• - RTL Design and Microarchitecture
• - Functional Verification (UVM, SVA, Cocotb, testbench development)
• - IP Integration and SoC Bring-up (AXI, PCIe, DDR, NoC, ARM-based systems)
• - Formal Verification and Coverage Closure
• - Timing Closure, Synthesis, Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) Optimization
• - Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Verification
• - Hardware Specification Development and Technical Documentation
• Availability to dedicate **20–40 hours per week** with dependable weekday accessibility.
