• Ensure steady and profitable growth in sales revenues through effective planning, execution, and management of your sales territory.
• Responsible for driving sales to achieve set company objectives.
• Collaborate as a team player, demonstrate initiative, and work efficiently with the sales team and other employees within the organization.
• Generate activity levels that result in inquiries, projects, demonstrations, and orders.
• Enhance product awareness across your sales territory.
• Develop a sales pipeline that drives consistent monthly sales.
• Establish and nurture Key Accounts through regular, scheduled site visits.
• Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, execute tasks, encourage innovation, focus on customer delivery, collaborate with peers, creatively solve problems, and uphold high integrity.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets while managing the pipeline and forecasting.
• Optimize field time by ensuring quality engagement.
• Report to the Sales Director regarding all aspects of the sales pipeline and related activities.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical sales within the metrology or a related industry.
• Strong grasp of metrology fundamentals, including calibration standards, tolerances, and instrumentation.
• Experience in working with and selling metrology equipment such as CMMs, Optical Profilers, and optical systems.
• Basic understanding of industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to interpret and comprehend engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with metrology software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals in a technical environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to meet deadlines and a keen attention to detail.
• Possession of a clean and comprehensive UK driving license.
• Experience in a sales or business development capacity within the metrology or industrial automation sectors.
• Proficient in utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics for lead management and sales performance tracking.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant apprenticeship experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with robotics, industrial automation, or advanced manufacturing processes is considered a plus.
• A company car will be provided – preference is for an electric vehicle (EV).
