This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Contribute to the annual business sales initiatives established each year.
• Initiate sales outreach, assess customer needs, and tailor product and service applications to fulfill their requirements.
• Maintain and expand the existing customer base.
• Investigate new markets for potential sales opportunities, focusing on those aligned with divisional strategies and objectives.
• Monitor emerging markets and provide recommendations to management.
• Research and maintain a directory of potential customers within designated markets.
• Follow up on sales leads and make calls to new prospective customers.
• Create sales and marketing presentations and proposals as necessary.
• Recommend and outline supply contract structures for new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with channel partners to acquire market insights.
• Engage in cross-divisional selling when it aligns with the company's strategy.
• Stay informed about competitive activity and understand their strengths and weaknesses.
• Develop a plan for servicing existing customers.
• Establish a call schedule to generate new business.
• Provide a framework for new business initiatives in the region.
• Travel to customer locations as required.
• Conduct both individual and joint calls to develop new opportunities.
• Initiate requests for samples.
• Initiate requests for quotes.
• Draft and present supply proposals to customers.
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry associations as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with peers, supervisors, and other Winpak personnel.
• Effectively communicate customer and market needs to project teams.
• Demonstrate problem-analysis and resolution skills.
• Keep your supervisor informed of significant customer needs and issues.
• Manage and document all feedback regarding customer complaints.
• Stay attuned to market trends and customer needs, reporting back to management.
• Provide monthly progress reports during the first week of every month.
• Submit call reports on any noteworthy activities.
• A solid understanding of business principles, including sales, business development, marketing, and finance.
• Knowledge and skills to effectively manage and organize projects.
• Detail-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and listening abilities.
• Capacity to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Up to 50% travel may be required to manufacturing plants, prospective and customer sites, trade shows, and other events.
