This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Accountable for driving and overseeing all sales operations within the Italian market
• Implement and carry out a structured sales management strategy across the designated territory
• Plan, coordinate, and execute all sales initiatives in Italy, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and order acquisition
• Manage the sales of capital equipment solutions for Waste Recycling and Sorting, with typical project values ranging from EUR 200,000 to EUR 1.5 million per order
• Own and oversee the area sales budget, including forecasting and performance analysis
• Ensure effective internal coordination of processes and organizational structures
• Develop, mentor, and collaborate with the global sales team
• Implement TOMRA’s overall company strategy and actively assist the Business Development Manager in assessing business opportunities
• Represent TOMRA at local and international trade shows, conferences, and industry events
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the waste recycling or waste processing sector
• Proven experience in selling large capital equipment, managing extended sales cycles, and/or offering complex technical solutions—preferably within the recycling industry
• Demonstrated experience in managing key account clients and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Background in operating within an international, matrix-oriented organization
• Strong commercial insight with a customer-focused, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial approach
• Proven success in contract negotiations, with exceptional communication, listening, and analytical abilities
• Genuine enthusiasm for technology, sustainability, and people
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
