Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance our commercial sales team, focusing on recruitment, retention, and continuous development.

• Foster mutually beneficial relationships between sales and operations while collaborating with other commercial business functions, including Business Analytics, Revenue Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Salesforce Effectiveness, and S&OP.

• Leverage expertise in the Northern California agriculture market to provide better support for our sales team and clientele.

• Drive continuous improvement in overall profit margins and identify opportunities for innovation and profitability through strategic planning and a deep understanding of P&L impacts.

• Tasked with formulating a market sales strategy and pricing that aligns with a market-focused vision.

• Consistently nurture relationships with both existing and potential customers.

• Deliver value through customer success by implementing and utilizing our sales training process.

• Hold the sales team accountable for maintaining a strong pipeline that addresses regional needs.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards as per governmental regulations, GP standards, and site practices.

• Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and CRM Microsoft Dynamics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of outside B2B sales experience in packaging, corrugated, or a related industry.

• Proven experience in mentoring or leading a sales team and inspiring them to meet sales objectives.

• Background in developing and executing sales strategies and plans.

• Strong business and financial acumen, especially in analysis, pricing, forecasting, market trends, and budgeting.
