Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee sales operations throughout Germany by collaborating closely with the distributor network and key accounts in both the on-trade (hospitality) and retail sectors.

• Establish new accounts, including regional hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, or cash-and-carry chains.

• Expand the distribution of premium wines in the most renowned and upscale restaurants within your region.

• Formulate business plans and sales strategies for top-selling products utilizing the existing customer database.

• Surpass targets by designing monthly placements, programs, and initiatives for brand ambassadors.

• Execute, monitor, and assess program implementation in the trade in collaboration with distributor sales teams.

• Engage with key accounts to enhance business growth by focusing on brand-specific sales.

• Track execution through comprehensive sales reporting.

• Identify opportunities and uphold brand standards by leveraging sales data.

• Cultivate brand ambassadors through business meetings and training sessions for retailers and staff.

• Inspire and manage distributor sales teams and agencies as the representative of the company.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong passion for wine; prior experience in the wine industry within Germany is preferred.

• Proficient in both German (native preferred) and English.

• Residing in Germany (preferably in Frankfurt or Munich) with the willingness to travel.

• Well-organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in the market.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary for events.

• Possess strong, tactful, and effective closing abilities.

• Deep understanding of French and German culture (advantageous).

• Knowledge of the French language (advantageous).

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or equivalent professional experience in wine or hospitality (advantageous).
