This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Frequently engage with customers, dedicating at least 50% of your time to travel.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with clients by enhancing your business through trust, quality service, and technical expertise.
• Supply the sales and product teams with valuable field intelligence regarding customers, competitors, and brand owners.
• Handle necessary administrative tasks, including visit reports and continuously updating the opportunity pipeline with progress information.
• Increase the share of wallet from existing clients by demonstrating value rather than merely competing on price.
• Understand competitors' weaknesses and target new customer acquisition.
• Leverage successful business development strategies and apply them to relevant clients in your region.
• Collaborate closely with Brand Owner managers to address their requirements that the converter must meet.
• Keep Customer Service informed of any commercial changes involving clients, including updates to price lists, stock agreements, payment terms, trial projects, invoicing issues, and visit reports.
• For long-term customers, occasionally involve the Customer Service specialist to further enhance the relationship (considering reasonable costs and time, excluding overseas).
• Conduct regular check-ins with Customer Service to ensure mutual updates and outline future actions.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in market development within the industrial sector, preferably in the packaging industry, including paper manufacturers, plastic, or paper converters.
• Capability to work autonomously and expand the client portfolio.
• Proficiency in managing client accounts effectively.
• Strong communication skills in English.
